The Legal Advice Clinic is a service offered by the University of Leicester providing free legal advice to members of the public. Our student adviser’s role involves researching a client’s legal issue, interviewing the client and providing advice, all supervised by a qualified solicitor.

Areas of Advice:

Housing Law (Landlord and Tenant issues)

Employment Law

Contract Law

Wills and Probate

Family Law

Consumer Law

First year law students can volunteer for the position of clinic administrator, whilst second and final year law students can apply as legal advisors. Both roles provide a unique opportunity to utilise your theoretical legal knowledge in a practical environment.

The clinic is a diverse and inclusive environment, with applications from all hard working and motivated Leicester Law students welcome.

If you would like an appointment with the Legal Advice Clinic, you can request an Initial Client Details Form by emailing lawadviceclinic@leicester.ac.uk.

If you are facing barriers to Pro Bono because of needing to buy professional clothes, the society can help with costs. You can contact your project director and/or our Treasurer Josh, whose email is jmla1@student.le.ac.uk. Please also copy our President Meera (mac101@student.le.ac.uk) into your email.
